  • Member of the Private Equity and Mergers & Acquisitions Group at a leading international law firm, headquartered in NYC. Represent and advise clients in a variety of sections, including private equity (represent L Catterton in BurgerFi International Inc.’s acquisition of Anthony’s Coal Fired Pizza & Wings for $156.6M), venture capital (Greenspring Associates, growth equity specialists with more than $17B of assets under management, in an acquisition by StepStone Group), financial (Banco GNB Paraguay S.A., a member of the Gilinski Group, in its $250M purchase of Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria S.A.'s Paraguay unity, making Banco GNB Paraguay S.A. the largest bank in the Paraguayan market in terms of deposits), telecom (British Telecommunications plc on its sale of domestic operations and infrastructure in 16 countries in Latin America to CIH Telecommunications Americas LLC; Comtech Telecommunications Corp. in its entry into a definitive agreement to acquire Gilat Satellite Networks Ltd. for $532.5M), capital markets (Icahn Enterprises L.P. offering $455M of senior notes in April 2021; lead counsel to the Financial Oversight and Management Board for Puerto Rico in its restructuring of approximately $74B of bond debt and $50B of unfunded pension debt, as well as matters relating to the Puerto Rico Electric Power Authority), real estate, health care, environmental, and pro bono clients on various matters.

        • Member of the Leadership Team that spearheaded Proskauer Rose LLP's first all-virtual call center in partnership with the Lawyers' Committee for Civil Rights Under Law's non-partisan Election Protection voting rights hotline.

        • Partnering with the in-house legal department of over 20 corporate clients, oversaw over 400 volunteers who contributed over 2,000 hours across two days to answer approximately 1,800 calls from voters in Ohio and Arkansas, providing crucial information with respect to COVID-19 guidelines, voter ID laws, mail-in ballot procedures, and voter intimidation issues, among other matters.

        • Led a training session to teach volunteers voting laws, voting guidelines, and how to help people who call in to request information regarding voting rights.

        • Earn a Golden Gavel Award from Proskauer Rose LLP for leadership in Racial Justice for work in Election Protection.

        • Conducted research and analyzing statutes regarding voting rights in various states as well as working on their Election Protection hotline to answer potential voters' questions regarding their voting rights, changes in the voting procedures due to COVID-19 and general questions regarding voting and ballots.

      • Anti-Defamation League (conducting and summarizing research regarding voting rights, mail-in ballots and religious exemptions regarding voting in various states)

      • Legal Aid Society and City Service Society of New York (assisting clients in sealing decades old criminal convictions under CPL 160.59 that may help them to become gainfully employed, rent an apartment, or qualify for a loan, among other things)

      • Veteran's Assistance Project with the City Bar Justice Center (helping military veterans file claims regarding receiving aid from Veteran's Affairs)

Business Development

  • Senior Partner, Member of the Board of Directors & Senior Vice President, Business Development, Kingsbridge (KNIC Development Company, KNIC LLC)

      • Instrumental in the $350M+ redevelopment efforts of the Kingsbridge Armory, a 750,000+ square foot landmark building in the Bronx, NY that had been vacant for over 20 years. Work with the New York City Economic Development Corporation and local politicians to gain approvals and community support for the proposed nine-rink facility. Conduct investor outreach and fundraising initiatives to raise necessary funds for the project. (June 2011 - July 2015)
